Target is a group of men of all ages, who enjoy and value the blessings of studying God’s Word together, and benefiting from each others’ experiences.
When is it?
Once a month ( except July/August), on a Monday or Tuesday evening, normally in the 2nd week of the month, from 7.45 to c.9.15.
Who are we?
Men of all ages, who enjoy and value, and see the benefits and blessings of studying God’s Word together, and benefiting from each others’ experience – and experiences. The meeting usually has a 50 year age range! Most are from Grace, but others associated with us are very welcome.
What happens?
We start with prayer, a short time of testimony, to get to know one another better and learn more of God’s dealings with each other, then the main part of each evening is an inter-active study of God’s Word, with an introduction and outline/questions circulated beforehand. Studies have included Kent Hughes’ book “Disciplines of a Godly Man” being discussion-based and inter-active. After about an hour’s study/discussion, we have a time of open prayer, around both issues raised by our study and other prayer requests/needs expressed within the group.
Where?
In various homes of the members of the group. One session each term is more informal/social, such as a BBQ, 10 Pin Bowling, a meal out together, etc.
